Spendit green services

Spendit green is a socially responsible consuming service. Retailers can choose to integrate one or more of the following content packages in to their customer web site, point-of-sale system, mobile shopping system, and web store. Each implementation is customized to create a retailer's desired shopping experience. Content can be reported on web stores, on handheld units when scanning a bar code, and on sales receipts.  Consumers can also view performance using reporting tools on customer web sites to track, for example, total carbon emissions during the past month, nutrition data compared to dietary standards, the number of local jobs supported through their purchases, etc.  An emissions or sustainability offset system can also be implemented, whereby consumers choose a favorite non-profit to donate surcharges to based on total carbon emissions or sustainability scores.  The system also supports personalized boycotts based on consumer preferences.
